Blessed Sunday Evening to each of you. We pray that you were able to worship with your brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. Though we weren't able to be in the midst of our church family today, we know God is moving in Caden's and our lives as we have seen Him work miracles and provide blessings that abound, thank you JESUS!!! We were able to visit with family today who made the trip to ACH, as well as, a few friends who came to see and check on Caden. Thanks to each of you who made our day a little brighter and added another smile and loving spirit along the way.
Caden's night was much more peaceful and restful during the evening as Tammy slept in the same room as him for the first time, since last Monday. The day brought on more questions and watching to see how Caden would respond. He is still not responding well when the try to lower the O2 levels, as he begins to have problems breathing or begins to d-sat. His current levels are set at 7L at 25%. This will be a huge issue, since his normal bolus feeds will not be started back until they see he is able to come down on the O2. His tonsils are also showing swelling and ulcers on the sides of his throat from either the vent or viral infection that was likely caused by the viral pneumonia They are saying his lungs are beginning to sound clear, so our prayers is that we can get the O2 stable for Caden will be able to return to normal feeds.
His sodium levels are back at a normal level this morning, with the addition of a sodium supplement the level is 144. They are continuing to monitor his cortisol levels as the endocrinologist want to keep him on a therapeutic level of hydrocortisone to stable the levels. We are still waiting on new blood test to check on the levels of seizure meds to make sure they are functioning correctly in his body. He has been having break-threw seizures which they treat when needed with ativant. This could be another cause of his O2 levels dropping.
We are again forever grateful for the continued prayers and thoughts that you are lifting on Caden's and our families behalf. The messages, text, calls, and emails we are encouraged when receiving them knowing and seeing God work. I cant begin to express how much we are looking forward to see Caden show much improvement so he can begin on normal feeds again and return to our normal family life together.
1. Please pray for God to continue to heal, strengthen, and allow Caden to come down off oxygen so he can return to normal feeds.
2. Please pray for our other children, Caden's siblings, as this is a difficult & trying time for them as well, they are on Spring Break this week.
3. Please pray for wisdom, strength for us as parents and Caden's medical team to treat him properly
God Bless each of you!
