Thankful, Blessed! We are thankful for the many prayers that continue to be lifted on Caden's and our behalf, and the power of seeing God work through the situation. Caden was taken off the vent today around 3:00pm, and his O2 stats dropped to the lower 40's; but with wonderful doctors they are able to stabilize the situation and put Caden only on oxygen of 100% at 10L which he is still on at the hour. His throat has been swollen, so treatments were given to reduce the swelling. He has been waking up at times looking around, and has continued to be very active. They are going to continue to monitor Caden in PICU which will continue to take place through at least Saturday; they want to his oxygen at 4L before moving him to the floor.
All results from blood and lung cultures have all come back negative as of 9:00pm today. This doesn't mean it will not grow, but odds are looking slim that the results will change. They UT from last night also came back negative again. Caden is still congested, but signs are pointing to improvement. Continue to ask God to heal Caden's body by allowing rest, relief, and strength. He will not be released from ACH until the doctors are satisfied that his lungs are clear and any sign of infection is gone.
Tammy was able to visit with a mother of child with 1p36 Deletion tonight at ACH whom we have met through the 1p36 facebook that also lives in Arkansas. It is always a wonderful opportunity to be able and visit and share with these families because they know and are able to relate to a normal day and the struggles our child.
God Bless each of you and continue to lift Caden up in your prayers!
