Happy Monday! May I begin by saying thank you for your continued prayers and thoughts for Caden; please continue to intercede on his behalf in the name of our Lord Jesus. While progress is being made, there are still steps to be taken before Caden will be able to be released from ACH to come home. We want Caden to be well with no problems arising or we could be back at step one.
A good, family friend "Lisa" made her way to ACH to spend the afternoon and tonight with Caden and Tammy. It's always a positive to see a smiling face of a friend and knowing they care and share in the struggles and happiness. As anyone who has spent anytime with an immediate family member in the hospital knows how long the days can be or how lonely the times can become. We have been blessed with a number people who are lifting Caden and our family in prayers as well as making time to call or message us.
Caden was moved to from intermediate care PICU to a progressive recovery floor today, which once again looks out over our state capitol in Little Rock! Caden has his oxygen levels lowered to 5L at 30%, which prayerfully will be able to come on down to normal levels without any setbacks. He is still on continuous feeds but are now being ran by NG tube (directly to the stomach). Tammy met with an ENT doctor and the plan is now when Caden is well and 6-8 weeks have passed we will return to ACH to set up a time to have Caden's tonsils removed; which will also mean another hospital stay; but will allow Caden better air flow and not as restricted. This will not be a regular tonsil removal as with most children; since Caden has special needs that will have to be cared and administered too.
Our family is continuing to grow and understand more in this process as we walk with Caden and each other through this journey. Though miles may separate us at times; we are blessed to know our love for each other runs deeper and that God's plan is continually laid out before us.
I also ask you to a; uplift another member of the 1p36 family tonight as one of the children went home to be with Jesus. Forever 1p36 Strong!
